In order to promote more effective operation of the city's volunteer system, the Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau held an "Environmental Protection Volunteer Team Evaluation Implementation Plan and Volunteer Service Promotion Discussion Meeting" on the afternoon of April 10, 2014, aiming to promote a more sound operation of the environmental protection volunteer system. We also invite the captains or representatives of each environmental volunteer team to participate and discuss implementation matters, directions and difficulties. Through face-to-face communication, we can get closer to each other and realize the vision of the government and volunteer partners fighting side by side and listening to each other.
The meeting included a brief introduction, reminders of the Medal of Honor and competition medals for outstanding environmental volunteers, and a discussion of the small team evaluation and volunteer selection system. During the meeting, each squadron actively participated and put forward valuable suggestions. The Environmental Protection Bureau also thanks each squadron for their contributions. These opinions will help to make the evaluation draft more complete. We also proposed difficulties and solutions for squadrons with low registration rates, jointly sought ways to improve, and implemented the vision of integrated civil affairs and concerted efforts. Each squadron promised to work hard to increase the registration rate and work together to serve the volunteers wholeheartedly. The meeting ended in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
"Environmental volunteers" have always been the focus of the Environmental Protection Bureau. Although there are environmental volunteers who have been silently helping us protect the environment, this is not the responsibility of the government and volunteers alone, but the common responsibility of the whole society. We call on citizens with a passion for service to join the volunteer family, practice values through community service, and jointly protect the good natural environment.
