Since 2018, the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts has incorporated aging issues into its volunteer training, accompanying its partners in continuous learning. From geriatric psychology and dementia care to the practice of age-friendly attitudes, the museum aims to deepen volunteers' understanding of life in an aging society. Through ongoing training, the museum hopes to help volunteers develop skills in self-care and companionship, becoming more stable and compassionate service providers.
This year, the museum is collaborating with the Gushan District Health Center to present a series of five age-friendly lectures. These diverse topics, ranging from healthy eating and easy exercise to medication safety and emotional well-being, will help volunteers balance knowledge and practical application, allowing them to more confidently navigate daily service and life transitions.
This series of lectures is also open to citizens interested in aging issues. Join us and become a more compassionate force for social support.
