In June 2025, the Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau held four "Kaohsiung City Government Environmental Protection Bureau Environmental Volunteer Liaison Meetings" in Fengshan District, Qishan District, Gushan District, and Gangshan District. The main purpose of these events was to strengthen interaction and communication between the government and environmental volunteers, and to discuss the direction of environmental policy promotion and practical implementation issues through face-to-face exchanges.

Each meeting was moderated by Senior Technical Specialist Chen Kao-feng, Senior Technical Specialist Cheng Lan, Technical Specialist Huang Chien-pin, and Specialist Su Huang-hsin, respectively. Environmental volunteer teams from each district were invited to actively participate in the discussions. Through on-site dialogue and exchange of opinions, the meetings aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the difficulties encountered by each team in actual environmental protection operations and to jointly explore effective solutions. In addition, an awards ceremony was held during the meeting to commend outstanding environmental volunteers who actively participated and demonstrated excellent performance over the past year. A flag-giving ceremony was also held for newly established environmental volunteer teams to encourage more citizens to join the ranks of volunteers and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Through various liaison meetings, trust and cooperation between the government and volunteers were strengthened. Volunteers gained a clearer understanding of environmental policies and their implementation details, improving the overall efficiency and quality of volunteer services. The Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau expressed its gratitude for the enthusiastic participation and contributions of all volunteers and stated that it will continue to deepen cooperation between the government and volunteers through various exchange mechanisms to jointly promote environmental protection in Kaohsiung City and create a cleaner and better living environment.
